Kashmiris’ sacrifices will yield fruitful results: Shabbir
Srinagar, June 28, 2015 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, senor Hurriyet leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), Shabbir Ahmad Shah has said that the sacrifices of Kashmiri people will yield fruitful results very soon. Shabbir Ahmad Shah chairing a meeting of his party, DFP, in Srinagar, commenting on the recent happenings in Sopore, Khadwani Kulgam and police firing in Jamia Masjid Srinagar, said that the collaborators of Indian occupation had made the life of people miserable.
“By imposing blanket ban on the activities of pro-freedom leaders with the might of forces, the authorities have turned the territory into a virtual jail but they must bear in mind that they can never suppress our ideology which is deep-rooted in our veins,” he added. On the occasion, Shabbir Shah, while remembering the martyrs of freedom movement, paid glowing tributes to them and expressed solidarity with the bereaved families of the recently martyred youth.
The DFP Chairman reiterated that the resolution of Kashmir dispute was vital for the establishment of peace in the region. He stressed upon the Indian rulers to shun traditional stubbornness and initiate the process leading to resolution of the long pending dispute. Shabbir Ahmad Shah also lauded the role of Pakistani people, its political, religious and military leadership for their unrelenting support to Kashmiris in their fight for right to self-determination.
Earlier, in a meeting of Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) chaired by party Chairman Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Muhammad Amin was nominated as District President, Manzoor Ahmad Wani as Secretary and Javaid Ahmad Ganai as Organizer while Bashir Ahmad, Javaid Ahmad, Nadeem Ahmad Kar, Muhammad Shafi Naik, Bashir Ahmad Gattoo, Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat, Abdul Rashid Dar, Muhammad Yousuf Bhat and Khazir Mohammad were appointed as members. The meeting was attended by party General Secretary Maulana Muhammad Abdullah Tari, Engineer Farooq Ahmad, Ghulam Muhammad Maqdam and other representatives.
