Kashmiris not willing to remain under India’s control: Gilani

Srinagar, June 07, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani has called upon the people to stay away from forthcoming elections. Syed Ali Gilani addressing a condolence meeting in connection with martyrdom of Muhammad Altaf Baba via telephone at Aglar in Pakarpora said, “The best way to pay homage to the martyrs is to take their mission to its logical end by continuing the struggle.”

He said the most excellent method to remember and give due respect to the holy blood of martyrs is to completely boycott the elections to show to the world that Kashmiris are not willing to remain under the control of New Delhi.”

The veteran Hurriyet leader reminded people of the atrocities committed by India forces and puppet administration and asked the people to join the Hurriyet ranks.

Meanwhile, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir led by Syed Ali Gilani will set up a blood bank to provide humanitarian assistance to the people of Kashmir. It will be inaugurated at Hyderpora on World Blood Donor Day, June 14, a TeH spokesman said in a statement issued in Srinagar.

Blood donation camps will be organised across Jammu and Kashmir in a phased manner, the spokesman added.
