Kashmir solution viable through tripartite talks: Prof Butt

Srinagar, June 22, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Professor Abdul Ghani Butt, has said that settlement of the Kashmir dispute is possible through tripartite talks amongst Pakistan, India and the genuine Kashmiri leadership.

Professor Abdul Ghani Butt in a media interview in Srinagar said that it was a wrong notion that the Hurriyet Conference was acting as a mute spectator. “We are contributing in a positive manner and we believe that it is the right time for India and Pakistan to initiate a dialogue on Kashmir and involve us as a principal party,” he added.

Professor Butt said that the Indian government was playing sheer politics on the issue of Amarnath Yatra. “If government is claiming that they have eliminated all the militants from the Valley then how come it is possible that militants can strike in presence of millions of Indian soldiers here? It is just a political game and hoax,” he added.
