The new system will be implemented in January 2015 after the completion of data collection process by Dec 2014. Action will be taken against the staff members after withholding their pay who would found not attending their duty or not observing punctuality in office hours.

It was very unfortunate that some of the doctors were serving in foreign countries without obtaining the leaves or informing the administration about this. These were also getting their salary from KMC which was quite unjust to the citizens. He said the biometric system was installed to check all such irregularities with the help of latest technology.

This system will be implemented in Abbasi Shaheed Hospital also from January for which work already underway and then this will be gradually implemented in all the KMC departments with its control would be with the central command and control system, Information Technology department or the payroll section. Only those employees would be eligible to receive their salary who would attend their duty punctually.

Administrator KMC said without getting into the debate of what happened in past, all the officers and lower staff of KMC must now observe punctuality in office hours because the city needs their attention, the KMC staff should therefore pay full attention on resolving the problems of citizens.
