Just sarpanch’s permit enables non-Kashmiris to join Indian Army

Jammu, June 10, 2015 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Indian government has directed its armed forces to recruit West Pakistani non-Muslim refugee youth in the forces on mere certificates issued by a sarpanch or lambardar of their respective villages. The Rajya Sabha member and BJP leader, Avinash Rai Khanna, who is spearheading the campaign for the these refugees, told media that the Indian government had agreed to treat the certificates issued by sarpanch or lambardar as a valid document in place of a domicile certificate to allow recruitment of the refugee youth.

It means that the refugees can now participate in recruitment rallies of the Army and paramilitary personnel without domicile certificates. “Very soon many more concessions will be announced for West Pakistan refugees,” Khanna said.
