JKPM urges India, Pakistan to initiate talks on Kashmir

Srinagar, July 07, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, APHC leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement (JKPM), Ghulam Ahmed Mir, has said that India and Pakistan should initiate negotiations and involve the genuine Kashmiri leadership with the process to settle the Kashmir dispute.

Ghulam Ahmed Mir, addressing party workers at Thanamandi in Rajouri said that permanent peace in South Asia was not possible without resolving the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the Kashmiris’ aspirations.

He said that the people of Kashmir were masters of their destiny and only they would decide about their fate.

He appealed to the United Nations, Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, Amnesty International and other human rights bodies to take cognizance of the human rights violations being committed by the Indian troops in the occupied territory.
