JKLF leader Bashir Ahmed Boya arrested in IOK

Srinagar, July 19, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Indian police arrested the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) District President, Bashir Ahmed Boya, from Ganderbal during a demonstration. The JKLF activists after Juma prayers took out protest demonstrations in several areas of the territory under ‘Lal Chowk Chalo’ call.

The police fired shell on the demonstrators to stop them from going towards Lal Chowk. Several JKLF activists were injured in the police action.

Meanwhile, the Front spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar strongly condemned the recent bloodbath in Ramban and arrest of JKLF Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik and other Hurriyet leaders and activists.

He also denounced the Indian media especially the channels for justifying the Ramban killings, adding that the India media had always adopted anti-Kashmir policy.
