Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front dares India to hold referendum in Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar, December 03, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front has said that if India is so enthusiastic about the poll percentage then it should not be averse to holding a referendum in Jammu and Kashmir to ascertain the Kashmiris’ will about their future.

The JKLF Vice Chairman Mushtaq Ahmad Ajmal in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “If India and its lackeys feel that election gimmick has worked for them and people of Kashmir’s quest for freedom has faded then let them hold a referendum. Let people decide in a free and fair atmosphere about their future.”

“The results of a fixed match and manipulated elections have no value or credibility and those rejoicing over these elections are living in a fool’s paradise,” he added.

Condemning the arrest and crackdown against the freedom leaders and activists, Ajmal said, “By unleashing a reign of terror against resistance camp the pro India administration has proved the fact that this election is nothing but a one sided match in which the opponent team has been handcuffed.”

Ajmal denouncing the ongoing crackdown on JKLF, said, “Incarcerated zonal president Noor Mohammad Kalwal has been shifted to central jail Srinagar. Police arrested JKLF senior activist Mohammad Shafi Lone from Kupwara in a nocturnal raid and also raided the residence of Arshad Ahmad Butt at Basant bagh. Besides this Mushtaq Ahmad of Koreg Ganderbal along with the driver of a private sumo Aashiq Ahmad were rearrested by at the gates of central jail and taken to some unknown destination,” he said.
