Islamabad Traffic Police firm to eliminate VIP culture: Senior Superintendent of Police
Islamabad: Senior Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Dr. Moeen Masood has expressed his strong determination to ensure disciplined traffic system in the city and eliminate VIP culture through equal application of law.
Reviewing the progress report about ongoing campaign against tinted glass vehicles on Monday, the SSP said that ITP since its inception has ensured equal application of law and would make people `more binding’ towards traffic laws without any discrimination.
The SSP was told that 1069 tinted glass vehicles have been fined during last 10-day campaign while a total of 8975 tinted vehicles during 2011. He appreciated this performance of ITP personnel performing duties on roads to ensure safe road environment. “The elimination of VIP culture and equal application of law are our main objectives which would be achieved at every cost,” he maintained.
He further directed not to spare any one and take strict action against the tinted glass vehicles as per law with a purpose to eliminate the VIP culture.
It is to mention that ITP launched a special campaign against tinted glass vehicles keeping in view present law and order situation.
The SSP (Traffic) also directed his staff to continue education campaign and inculcate traffic sense among road users along with the enforcement of law. He said that cooperation of citizens is very much necessary for success of this campaign and appealed them to follow the law in this regard.
