Islamabad: Islamabad Capital Police reported a significant breakthrough with the arrest of an absconder involved in a murder case. The operation was conducted by the Shahzad Town police station and the Homicide Investigation Unit (HIU), resulting in the capture of the suspect, identified as Muzafar, who was wanted for the murder of Murtajiz.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the arrest followed a citizen’s application to the Shahzad Town police station, which claimed that Muzafar had murdered his brother Murtajiz. The police filed FIR No. 1037/24 in response and formed a special investigation team to handle the case. Employing technical and scientific methods, the team successfully apprehended Muzafar.

DIG Islamabad Syed Ali Raza has directed senior officials to intensify efforts to crack down on criminal activities to safeguard the lives and properties of citizens. He emphasized the police’s zero-tolerance policy against violence and assured that strict legal actions are in place to bring criminals to justice. Raza also reiterated the importance of the safety and security of citizens, stating that no laxity would be tolerated in ensuring their protection.
