IOK HCBA to send fact finding team to Gool

Srinagar, July 22 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the High Court Bar Association (HCBA) has decided to constitute a team of lawyers to prepare a report about the killing of civilians by the troops of Indian Border Security Force in Gool area of Ramban.

The HCBA General Secretary, Mohammad Ashraf Butt in a statement in Srinagar said that the decision was taken at a General Body meeting of the Association. “The team of lawyers would go to the place of incident and give complete report about the facts which led to killing of innocent people,” he said.

It was also decided in the meeting that after the report is received, future course of action would be decided and implemented, he said.

The Bar Association also denounced the Gool killing. “From the date of the hanging of Shaheed Afzal Guru it was written on the wall that such incidents would be manipulated by the Indian agencies in Kashmir as the parliamentary elections in India had to take place in 2014.”

The HCBA also condemned the failure of the puppet administration to stop such incidents, which had become common in 2013. “To protect the life and liberty of every Kashmiri is the duty of the administration and it has failed to protect the lives particularly of those people who are within the parameters of the Army and BSF camps. In these places it is the whip of the army and the BSF which is writ at large.”

The Bar Association also expressed sympathies with the families of the people killed and injured in the BSF firing. It also condemned the continued house arrest of the veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, and arrest of the JKLF Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik.
