Inspector General of Police Punjab Mohammad Habib-ur-Rahman has said the CIA and Investigation departments will be made more effective for elimination of crimes from the province especially in provincial capital

Lahore: He expressed these views while presiding over a high level meeting held here at PHQ today.

The role of CIA, shifting of security division as an independent department to Bedian road, strategy of immediate action on criminal activities in hotels and rest houses and suggestions of dividing Faisalabad into two separate divisions like Lahore have been reviewed in the meeting.

The IGP was briefed by all officers about the implementation of IGP’s directives relating to Thikri Pehera, establishment of Crimes Investigation Agency, holding of open courts on daily basis and setting up a model Police Station in each sub-division.

Provincial Police Chief appreciated the team of RPO Faisalabad Aftab Ahmad Cheema for arresting the fifth accused of Samina Akhtar molestation case.

He further directed the officers that next meeting would be held on next week to review implementation on all presented suggestions.
