Inspector General of Police hosts farewell for outgoing police officer
Islamabad: Inspector General of Police Islamabad Bani Amin Khan on Tuesday hosted fare-well for the Superintendent of Police Islamabad Malik Mumtaz who got retired from his services after serving in the force for 30-years.
The fare-well was attended among others by DIG (Headquarters) Ahmed Mukarram, SSP (Headquarters) Zubair Ahmed Hashmi, SP Headquarters Abdul Ghaffar Qaisarani and other senior police officials were also present on the occasion.
The IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan appreciated the services of SP Malik Mumtaz and said the officer had served in Islamabad police with dedication and commitment. He said that his services to make Islamabad police as a distinctive force will be remembered forever.
SP Malik Mumtaz joined Rangers as Sub-Inspector in 1973 and later joined Punjab police in 1977. He joined Islamabad police in 1981 as Sub-Inspector and promoted to the rank of Inspector in 1985. He served as Station House Officers of Tarnol, Bhara Kau, Secretariat and Industrial Area police station. He became DSP in 1996 and served as Sub-Divisional Police Officer at Secretariat Circle, Rural Circle, Saddar Circle, Criminal Investigation Agency and Anti-Car Lifting Cell.
He had served as SP City Zone, Rural Zone and Saddar Zone and retried as SP Anti-Terrorist Squad.
The IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan also gave commendation certificate and souvenir to the outgoing officer. SP Malik Mumtaz also appreciated the leadership qualities of IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan and hoped that Islamabad police will become model police under his guidance.
