Indonesian Medical Team all set to reach Pakistan Next week

Islamabad: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has appreciated the humanitarian gesture of President of Indonesia Mr. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono who gave immediate instructions for dispatching of medical experts on the request of Government of Pakistan for assistance in control of Dengue fever.

The Prime Minister directed that the Indonesian medical team should be based in Lahore to assist the Government of Punjab as the incidence of Dengue fever is the highest there, particularly in Lahore.

The Government of Indonesia is dispatching a nineteen member medical team to assist Pakistan in the control of Dengue. The team consists of five doctors, a nurse, a lab analyst, epidemiologists and entomologists.

The Indonesian team is due to arrive in Pakistan next week. It will bring along fogging and fumigation machines, insecticides and larvacide, chemicals, personal protection equipments, lab machine and blood analyzer.
