Indian police foil seminar in Srinagar

Srinagar, July 15, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Indian police interrupted a seminar organized by veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader in Srinagar, today.

Syed Ali Gilani was scheduled to hold a seminar in memory of 13th July 1931 martyrs at Tehreek-e-Hurriyet Haiderpora office in Srinagar, today. However, the police deployed outside Gilani’s residence did not allow anyone, including office bearers, to enter Tehreek-e-Hurriyet headquarters.

“The Hurriyet had decided to hold a seminar about the martyrs of July 13, 1931 and their mission and a number of scholars, intellectuals, political thinkers and historians were invited to attend the seminar. “But nobody was allowed to enter the siege residence of Gilani,” spokesperson Ayaz Akbar said.
