Indian police book martyred Kashmiri youth in false case

Srinagar, March 23, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, instead of providing justice to the family of a youth, who was recently killed in the indiscriminate firing of Indian police on protesters in Naidkhai area of Bandipora, the authorities have booked him for attempting murder of policemen. The martyred youth, Farhat Ahmad Dar, along with four activists of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League, was booked for attempting murder of Indian policemen.

Farhat, a student of class 11, was killed and several people were injured after the police had fired upon peaceful protesters in Naidkhai on March 14. Others who have been booked by the police include Showkat Hakeem, Assadullah Parray, Meraj-ud-Din Nanda and Sajad Ahmad.
