Indian forces have licence to kill in IOK: Ali Raza

Brussels, June 28, 2015 (PPI-OT):The Chairman of Kashmir Council EU, Ali Raza Syed has strongly condemned police attack on Srinagar Jamia Masjid and Kashmir University in Srinagar. A number of civilians were injured in teargas shelling inside the premises of the Jamia Masjid on Friday. The police also raided and forcibly ejected male and female students of the Kashmir University on Saturday as they were protesting at the campus for last three days against detention of a student by police.

Ali Raza Syed in a statement issued in Brussels said that violation of sanctity of a worship place and brutal atrocities against the peaceful students were unacceptable. He said, in occupied Kashmir, the forces had been given free hand to commit barbaric acts against the oppressed civilian population of the territory. Expressing grave concern over the situation, he said that the Indian forces in the territory had licence to kill, rape and abduct the people. Recently a number of the civilians were murdered in a serial mysterious killing in Sopore area of Kashmir but, so far, no action had been taken against the culprits.

Ali Raza Syed said though India calls it as a largest democracy of the world but it does not conduct democratic attitude in occupied Kashmir and no democratic society of the world accepts the unleashing New Delhi’s state terror against the innocent people of Kashmir. He said that by throwing tear-gas shells and smoke grenades on the historic holy mosque of Srinagar, the Indian authorities had hurt the spiritual feelings of masses. He added, deployment of a huge number of forces in held Kashmir causes a hostile situation in the area and for that the occupied territory become a large prison on the earth.
