India undermining Kashmir’s Islamic identity: Gilani
Srinagar, July 15, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani has said that India is using all sorts of tactics to undermine the Islamic identity of the Kashmiris through cultural aggression.
Syed Ali Gilani addressing a meeting at Tehreek-e-Hurriyet office in Srinagar said that India, its puppet authorities and pro-India parties were making all-out efforts to weaken the Kashmiris’ rightful struggle for their inalienable right to self-determination. However, he maintained that the Kashmiris would never compromise their freedom movement.
Hurriyet leader, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai also addressed the meeting, on the occasion.
Meanwhile, the forum led by the veteran leader in a statement condemned the pro-India PDP Patron, Mufti Saeed’s assertions that Kashmir was not an international but an internal issue.
A spokesman for the forum said that Mufti Saeed gave the statement to appease his bosses in New Delhi and to have the patronage of Congress Party for the PDP instead of the Omar Abdullah’s National Conference in the so-called upcoming elections.
