India planning 1947 like massacre in Kashmir

Srinagar, July 29 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani has said that India is working on the agenda of massacring Kashmiri Muslims on the pattern of the 1947 massacre in Jammu.

Syed Ali Gilani addressing a function at Hyderpora in Srinagar said that New Delhi was hatching a conspiracy to detach Jammu and Ladakh from Kashmir. However, he said that the Kashmiris would fight against this division. Syed Ali Gilani, while addressing a public meeting in Srinagar reiterated the boycott call for the upcoming elections.

At the conclusion of the function, Syed Ali Gilani was taken to his residence in a procession amid pro-freedom and anti-India slogans. The authorities, later, placed the veteran leader under house arrest.

The Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik visited Badgam and expressed solidarity with the family members of the woman, who was recently killed in firing by Indian troops in the area. Addressing a gathering on the occasion, Muhammad Yaseen Malik said that India would not be able to suppress the Kashmiris’ movement for freedom through brute force. His speech was punctuated by pro-freedom slogans.

APHC leader, Zafar Akbar Butt addressing a public gathering in Beerwua demanded urgent release of youth, who were detained by Indian police for protest demonstrations during the ongoing month.

Meanwhile, the Chairperson of Muslim Khawateen Markaz, Yasmeen Raja, Syed Bashir Andrabi and Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League in separate statements denounced the killing and said that India had turned Kashmir into a police state.

The Jammu Kashmir Peoples Movement in a statement said that peace and stability in south Asia would remain a distant dream until Kashmir dispute was resolved as per the wishes and aspirations of the Kashmiris. A delegation led by the Jammu and Kashmir Freedom Movement Chairman, Muhammad Sharif Sartaj visited Gool area of Ramban and condoled with the family members of the victims of the civilians recently martyred by Indian troops in the area.

Indian troops in their continued acts of state terrorism martyred two more Kashmiri youth in Keran area of Kupwara district, today. On the other hand, over a dozen people were injured when Indian police and paramilitary forces resorted to brute force against the protesters in Hajin area of Bandipore district. The Jammu Kashmir Mahaz-e-Azadi in a statement paid glowing tributes to Malik Mohammad Maqbool on the eve of his 21st martyrdom anniversary.
