India has no right to celebrate Republic Day in IHK: UJC

Muzaffarabad, January 23, 2013 (PPI-OT): The Chairman of United Jihad Council, Syed Salahuddin has said that India has no right to celebrate Republic Day in occupied Kashmir for being involved in usurpation of the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination at gunpoint. Syed Salahuddin addressing a meeting of the United Jihad Council said that India was engaged in massacring the people of occupied Kashmir to suppress their freedom movement.

Syed Salahuddin said that hundreds of gang rape incidents, enforced disappearance of thousands of innocent Kashmiri youth and discovery of unmarked graves were ample proof of gross human rights violations by Indian troops and paramilitary personnel in the territory.

He announced to fully back the shutdown call given by the forum patronised by the veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani on January 26, the day India celebrates as Republic Day, in occupied Kashmir.
