India cannot sideline Pakistan for Kashmir resolution: Shabbir

Srinagar, October 26, 2016 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the illegally detained APHC General Secretary and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), Shabbir Ahmed Shah, has said that India cannot sideline Pakistan for resolution of the Kashmir dispute, which is a core issue between the two countries and has to be resolved as per the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Shabbir Ahmed Shah said this while talking to a five-member Indian delegation led by former foreign minister and Bharatiya Janata Party leader, Yashwant Sinha that met him at Rajbagh police station in Srinagar.

The DFP spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Shabbir Shah told the delegation that talks with India could not be held when Indian forces continued to kill civilians in occupied Kashmir.

“At the same time Shabbir Shah made it clear to the delegation that India can’t sideline Pakistan for resolution of Kashmir which is a core issue and has to be resolved as per aspirations of people,” he said.

The spokesman said that the party Chairman cautioned the group that the day wasn’t far when Kashmiri youth would be forced to pick up guns if Kashmir dispute was not resolved.

Referring to Jat agitation in Rajasthan and Patel agitation in Gujarat, the spokesman said that Shabbir Shah told the delegation that no pellet guns were used against the protestors in the two Indian states despite damage to huge property. “The civilians are being killed and property damaged and students left blind due to the use of pellet guns in Kashmir,” the DFP Chairman told the group.
