IG Punjab Pays Tribute to Martyred Constable Imran Haider During Funeral


Lahore, Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar attended the funeral prayers of Constable Imran Haider, who was martyred in a confrontation with robbers at Baghbanpura police station, Lahore. The funeral took place at Police Lines Fort Gujjar Singh, where Dr. Usman Anwar, along with other senior officers and personnel, honored the fallen constable.



According to Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar saluted the body of Constable Imran Haider and laid a floral wreath. A police squad presented a guard of honor, and prayers were offered for the soul of the martyred constable. Imran Haider, 38 years old and a resident of Batapur, Lahore, leaves behind his wife, one son, and seven daughters. IG Punjab met with the family of the martyr and assured them of the department’s full cooperation, emphasizing that the welfare of Constable Imran Haider’s family is a priority for Punjab Police.



Dr. Usman Anwar praised Constable Imran Haider for his bravery in sacrificing his life in the line of duty. The Inspector General remarked that Constable Imran Haider’s sacrifice reflects the courage and dedication of the Punjab Police. He also directed DIG Operations Lahore to ensure the best care for Head Constable Dilawar, who was injured in the incident. The Inspector General underscored the importance of taking all possible measures for the speedy recovery of Head Constable Dilawar.



IG Punjab reiterated the department’s commitment to supporting the families of fallen officers and ensuring they receive all possible assistance. The Punjab Police, he said, is a guardian force comprised of over 1,600 martyrs like Imran Haider and more than 1,700 brave Ghazis like Head Constable Dilawar.
