Heavy Rains in Sindh likely to continue for another 3 days

Islamabad: Met Office warned that the current spell of heavy rains in Sindh is very likely to continue for another 3 days, giving widespread heavy to very heavy rains in Sukkur, Mirpur Khas and Hyderabad divisions and moderate to heavy in Larkana and Karachi divisions. Heavy rains may cause more flooding in the said areas of Sindh during the period.

Met Office informed that a well marked low pressure area (strong weather system), presently giving heavy rains over Rajasthan (India) is likely to grip Sindh during next 24 hrs. Under the influence of this weather system, widespread heavy rains are expected in Sindh, South Punjab and East Balochistan during next 3 days. Heavy rains may also cause flash flooding in the local rivers/Nullah of Eastern Balochistan and D.G. Khan Division during the period. While scattered rains are also expected over upper Punjab, Kashmir and isolated rains over Khyber Pukhtoonkhawa during next 2-3 days. All concerned authorities are advised to remain ALERT during next 3 days.
