Harassment of Kashmiri students in India denounced

Srinagar, March 05, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyet leaders have strongly condemned the harassment of Kashmiri students in India, saying that tragedy in the Meerat University is the latest example of Indian barbarism where many students were expelled for celebrating Pakistan victory against India in the Asia Cup.

APHC leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement (JKPM), Ghulam Ahmad Mir in a statement issued in Jammu said that Indian government had failed to protect the Kashmiri businessmen and students living in different states and cities of India.

He said that the Indian agencies had been harassing and victimizing the people of Kashmir in different Indian cities since long on one pretext or the other but the Kashmiri people would not withdraw their birthright to self-determination and would continue their struggle till it reached its logical end.

APHC leader and the Chairman of Islamic Political Party Jammu and Kashmir, Muhammad Yousuf Naqash, in a statement in Srinagar, denouncing the victimisation of Kashmiri students, said that the freedom sentiment of the people of Kashmir could not be weakened through such cheap tactics. He said that the liberation movement would be taken to its logical end, despite all odds.

The Patron of Jammu and Kashmir Mass Movement (JKMM), Farida Behenji, in her statement in Srinagar deplored the victimization of Kashmiri students residing in different Indian states for supporting Pakistan in a cricket match against India. She said that the biased and prejudiced attitude of India could not prevent the Kashmiri people from continuing their struggle to secure their right to self-determination.

The spokesman of Jamaat-e-Islami of occupied Kashmir in a statement in Srinagar said that the torture and harassment of Kashmiris in India had become a routine. He urged the Indian government to protect all the Kashmiris living in different cities of India.
