Government is trying its best for the welfare of deprived segments of the society: Akram Masih Gill

Islamabad, July 18, 2012 (PPI-OT): Media plays a key role in politics said by Minister of State for National Harmony Akram Masih Gill today while addressing Journalists during Eid gifts distribution ceremony in Rawalpindi. Akram Gill further stated that media should be more careful as it is becoming more and more effective in the society.

It can play very positive role in the coming days. Minister of State extended his heartiest greetings on the beginning at Holy Month of Ramzan to Muslims all over country and abroad. He distributed Ramzan Assistance to deserving journalists arranged by “Journalist Foundation” in a local hotel.

Akram Masih Gill added that present government is trying its best for the welfare of deprived segments of the society to give them due rights and respect. It would take all possible steps to promote them. Sectarianism and religious divisions would be eliminated from the society to make Pakistan a developed, prosperous and democratic country, as envisioned by the Father of the Nation.

Akram Gill stated in his address that government is well aware of its responsibilities towards minorities of Pakistan. Scholarships for the students of Minorities have already been stated in the Ministry for the welfare of the students. He added that government is thinking to include “Interfaith Harmony as subject” in the school syllabus to promote peace, brotherhood, love and harmony in the society.
