Glowing tributes paid to Tahir Sofi

Srinagar, March 05, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, APHC leader, Zafar Akbar Butt and the Executive Director of Voice of Victims, Abdul Qadeer, have paid glowing tributes to a Baramulla youth, Tahir Rasool Sofi, on his first martyrdom anniversary. Zafar Akbar Butt and Abdul Qadeer visited Baramulla and town and expressed solidarity with the family of the martyred youth.

Addressing a gathering on the occasion, they castigated the puppet authorities for imposing restrictions in the town. They reaffirmed the Kashmiris’ resolve to continue the ongoing liberation struggle till it reached its logical conclusion.

They condemned the harassment of Kashmiri students in different Indian states. “It is very unfortunate that Indian civil society has maintained a criminal silence over the issue of expelling of Kashmiri students from Meerut University,” they deplored.

Zaffar Akbar Butt was accompanied by leaders of his party, Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement, including Moulvi Rasheed, Moulvi Mushtaq Ahmed, Muhammad Shafi Kashmiri, Farooq Ahmed, Mushtaq Ahmed and Shabir Ahmed.
