Gilani reiterates appeal for holding demos on Friday

Srinagar, July 25 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, reiterating appeal for observing Day of Unity on Friday, said that after Juma prayers peaceful protest demonstrations would be held against the desecration of holy Quran and killing of peaceful protesters by Indian Border Security Force personnel.

Syed Ali Gilani, who is under house arrest in Srinagar, in a statement said while condemned the arrest of youth across the territory for participating in peaceful protest demonstrations against the Ramban tragedy.

He deplored the Indian police barge into the houses and besides arresting youth and students, also damaging their property and households. He strongly condemned the behaviour of police personnel and warned of serious consequences if the state terrorism was not stopped.
