Federal government has issued instructions to PEMRA to lift ban on broadcasting Imran Khan's speech.

In a statement, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed PEMRA to ensure implementation of legal requirements under Article 19 of the Constitution.

Marriyum Aurangzeb said the Prime Minister has established a new tradition by ending the bitter traditions of Imran Khan's era.

The Minister said the government believes in democratic principles and constitutional freedom of expression.
