European Union’s programme to enable 43 Pakistani students and Faculty members to study in Europe

Islamabad, July 19, 2013 (PPI-OT): The European Union’s Erasmus Mundus programme contributes to the development of human resources and international cooperation capacity of higher education institutions in third-countries. This is achieved by increasing mobility, through scholarships and fellowships, between the European Union and these countries.

The EU Delegation to Pakistan congratulates the following five Higher Education Institutions of Pakistan who have been awarded Erasmus Mundus partnerships with European counterparts as a result of the Erasmus Mundus Acton 2 – Strand 1 Partnerships Call for Proposals EACEA/38/12:

1. Mehran University of Engineering, Karachi
2. National University of Science and Technology, Islamabad
3. Muhammad Ali Jinnah University, Islamabad
4. University of the Punjab, Lahore
5. Lahore University of Management Sciences, Lahore

These partnerships will allow 43 students and faculty members from Pakistan (11 undergraduates, 9 Masters, 10 Doctorates, 5 Post Doctorates and 8 faculty members) to study at various universities across the European Union.
