Establishment of 20 year of Diplomatic Relations between Pakistan and Tajikistan

Islamabad, June 08, 2012 (PPI-OT): The Embassy of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs cohosted an International Conference in Islamabad today to commemorate the establishment of 20 years of Diplomatic relations between Tajikistan and Pakistan at the National University of Modern Languages (NUML).

Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Nawabzada Malik Ammad Khan was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The Conference was attended by members of the diplomatic corps, Foreign Office officials, former envoys of Pakistan to Tajikistan and senior academics and regional experts.

The participants highlighted the commonalities and the close historical and cultural bonds shared by the people of the two friendly countries. They noted that the people of the two nations enjoyed ethnic, linguistic, historical and religious affinities.

The Minister of State in his address lauded the growing interaction between Pakistan and Tajikistan and highlighted the close relationship between the leadership of the two friendly countries. He stressed on the need to further deepen and expand bilateral relations to the mutual benefit of both countries.
