Education plays a vital role in development of human personality

Karachi, January 23, 2013 (PPI-OT): Annual prize distribution ceremony function was held at Defence Authority Model High School Ph-IV here today. Mr. Noman Ahson, Controller of Examination, Board of Secondary Education was the chief guest.

The chief guest said that education plays a vital role in development of human personality. He stressed that education enhances mental power and sharpens human responses. He said that education in Pakistan was facing growing challenges which could be countered by bringing a positive change in our outlook and priorities.

Mr. Noman elaborated numerous changes in the examination system of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Board including development and implementation of an integrated examination system for SSC, secrecy and confidential workings, development of question bank, promotion of teaching methodology and steps to reduce the possibility of cheating in exams.

Ms. Saulat Qasim, Principal in her welcome address said that the importance of co-curricular activities in the life of young students was of immense importance. She said that through such healthy activities children learn values of life like discipline, responsibility, self confidence, sacrifice and team work.

The students later presented a very impressive programme displaying their natural talent, initiative and energy. A spectacular PT display was indeed fabulous in which students’ showed perfect co-ordination, discipline, rhythm and elegance in their moves. The programme also included display of wonderful tableaus like tales from Shakespeare and rhythmic. The spectators applauded the remarkable performance of the students.

At the end the chief guest distributed certificates among the winners of various competitions. Director Education DHA Commodore (R) Talib Hussain was also present on the occasion.
