Dozens injured in violent police actions in occupied Kashmir

Srinagar, July 22 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, dozens of youth have been critically injured in violent Indian police actions in different parts of the occupied territory.

Police arrested around 45 youth from different parts of Kashmir for taking part in protests. It has also launched a manhunt in Doda district to arrest 35 youth who took part in protests against Gool-Ramban bloodbath.

On the other hand, Indian paramilitary forces ruthlessly beat up two staffers of a daily newspaper in Srinagar city. Mohammad Jaffar and Abdul Qayoom who were on way to daily Rising Kashmir press for taking the final copy were stopped and were thrashed by Indian armed forces at Peerbagh in the city..

“The forces kicked, abused and threatened us with dire consequences if we come again” the terrified staffers said. Both had no option but to retreat and reach back to office in Press Enclave.
