District Coordination Officer Peshawar raided a fake tea leaves factory
Peshawar: The DCO Peshawar Siraj Ahmad Khan along with Habibullah Arif, Special Magistrate Peshawar raided a fake tea leaves factory on Ashraf road Peshawar on Thursday and as such, the materials i.e. chemicals used in the preparation of such fake tea leaves were recovered from the spot and the accused including Syed Zia Ahmad Shah S/O Fazal Hussain, Mumtaz S/O Mohammad Afzal and Hanif S/O Mohammad Wali were arrested who were busy in preparation of such black tea leaves.
The tea leaves were packing in the packets for onward distribution amongst various shopkeepers in Peshawar as well as Punjab. So as the material used in the fake tea leaves were taken into possession.
The accused booked under section 489 (GF), 6/23 and handed over to the police of Police Station Khan Raziq Shaheed with the directions to start investigation under section 156(3) to unearth the shopkeepers involved in such ugly business who may also be arrested under the above sections of law.
The DCO Peshawar along with team also removed the hand carts from Maulvi Jee Memorial Hospital Hashtnagri to ensure smooth flow of traffic on the road as well as to allow easy entry of the patients to the hospital.
Besides, during price checking carried out by the Special Magistrate on Ashraf Road Peshawar, one Nanbai and one tea farosh were found in violation of rates. Both the shopkeepers/violators were fined Rs. 3000/- each on the spot.
