DG RANGERS URGES ULEMA TO PROJECT PEACEFUL IDENTITY OF ISLAM

Implementation of code of conduct devised by federal and provincial governments will be ensured during Muharram-ul-Haram.

The decision to this effect was taken at a meeting in Karachi between religious scholars of different schools of thought and DG Rangers Sindh Major General Mohammad Saeed.

It was also decided in the meeting that nobody will be allowed to hurt sentiments of any sect. DG Rangers urged Ulema to project peaceful identity of Islam.

Religious scholars assured their cooperation in abiding by code of conduct and implementing the National Action Plan.

Meanwhile, Rangers have arrested fourteen accused involved in various crimes in Karachi.
