DG FAO-Rome Visiting Pakistan to Review ongoing projects and to discuss future strategy for Poverty Reduction in the South Asia Region

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO-UN)'s Director General Jose Graziano da Silva is visiting Pakistan as State Guest from October 5 to 7 2016.

During his visit to Pakistan, he will call on President of Pakistan, Chief Ministers of Provinces, Governor of Punjab, Federal Ministers for National Food Security & Research, Planning, Development & Reforms and other Federal and Punjab Governments functionaries to discuss FAO mission, mandate, ongoing projects and technical assistance for achieving food security in Pakistan as well as future strategy for poverty reduction in the South Asian Region. He will also visit National Agricultural Research Centre (NARC), PARC and FAO Office in Pakistan.
