Desecration of Holy Quran by Indian troops

Srinagar, July 22 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik has criticized the world for silence over the killings, torture and arbitrary arrests of the Kashmiris protesting against the desecration of Holy Quran by the Indian troops in Gool area of Ramban district.

Muhammad Yasin Malik, who is detained and lodged at Kothibagh police station in Srinagar in a statement condemned unlawful attitude, denial and the attempts of the Indian leaders and forces to cover up the crime committed by the Border Security Force. He also denounced the curfew politics of the authorities.

Malik said, “The world community seems to maintain silence over atrocities in Kashmir to safeguard its economic interests with India.”

He deplored that those responsible for the killing of hundreds of youth in 2008 and 2010 uprisings were roaming free.
