Death of woman injured by policeman condemned in IOK

Srinagar, July 27 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar, the veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, and other pro-freedom leaders have expressed grief and sorrow over the death of a women who was injured due to torture by an Indian policeman in Budgam. Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a statement in Srinagar deplored that the brutalities of Indian police and troops against the Kashmiris were increasing with every passing day in every nook and corner of the territory.

The veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, in his statement in Srinagar expressing grief over the demise of the Budgam woman demanded strict and exemplary punishment for the involved policeman.

The APHC leaders, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi, Shabbir Ahmad Shah and Mohammad Yousuf Naqash in their statements condemning the killing of the woman said that the policeman responsible for her death should be brought to justice.

They asked the people of Badgam to maintain unity and harmony in their ranks. They lamented that the so-called largest democracy of the world and its local puppet administration had let loose the reign of terror to suppress the Kashmiris’ genuine liberation struggle.
