Crime could be controlled in the province only through the personal involvement and interest of the Police Officers

Lahore: This was stated by Inspector General of Police, Punjab, Mohammad Habib-ur-Rahman, while addressing to his first RPOs Conference held at PHQ, Lahore today.

Malik Khuda Bakish Awan, AddI. IGP, R and D, Aslam Tareen, AddI. IGP, Investigation, Ahmad Raza Tahir, CCPO/Lahore City, Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema, RPO Sheikhupura, Aftab Cheema, RPO Faisalabad, Capt ® Muhammad Amin Wains RPO Gujranwala, Mubarik Ali Athar, RPO Multan, Capt ® Syed Muhammad Abid Qadari, RPO Bawalpur, Muhammad Nawaz Warraich, RPO D.G. Khan, Sahibzada Muhammad Shahzada Sultan, AIG/Operations/Punjab and Faisal Raja ,SSP/Deputy Director R and D, Dr. Muhammad Abid Khan, DPO Okara and Dr. Muhammad Rizwan, DPO Sargodha were also present on the occasion.

IGP further directed the officers that should play their role as “Crime Fighter” instead off officer. He said that the officers should work as a public servant for provision of relief and security, to the people. He advised them that they should restore the Police Uniform’s confidence among the people instead of terror.

All field Police Officers briefed the IGP about the crime figures, progress of arrest of POs and over all Law and Order situation in their respective areas.

Provincial Police Chief, appreciated the professional efforts of RPO Multan, Mubarik Ali Athar and AddI. IGP / R and D . He advised to AddI. IGP R and D to launch a comprehensive campaign regarding to create awareness among Police Jawans about the code ethics at regional level. While paying rich tribute to DPO Sargodha, Dr. Muhammad Rizwan ,DPO Chinniot and DPO Jhang, IGP Said that he expected the same performance from the other DPOs of the Department.
