Compressed Natural Gas operators hold demos, demand resolution of artificial crisis engineered to justify import of Liquefied Natural Gas, Liquefied Petroleum Gas

Karachi, January 08, 2013 (PPI-OT): Chairman Supreme Council APCNGA Ghiyas Abdullah Paracha on Tuesday said that there is no shortage of gas in country while the CNG crisis is artificial.

Speaking to a press conference after protests against the policies of the government, he said that CNG crisis has been planned to receive kickbacks in import of liquid gasses.

He said that planned crisis has left millions jobless while investments in the CNG sector to the tune of Rs 400 billion are in red.

Ghiyas Abdullah Paracha said that government should immediately take steps to resolve the crisis and announce acceptable pricing formula otherwise APCNGA will stage a sit-in in the federal capital.

He said that delaying resolution of the crisis will add to uncertainty and miseries of the masses braving problems in merciless winter.

He said that civil society, transporters, unemployed CNG workers, and masses will join CNG filling stations owners in the dharna.
