Complete shutdown to be observed in IIOJK on Wednesday

In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, complete shutdown will be observed tomorrow [Wednesday] against the brutal policies of fascist Indian regime, to dislodge Kashmiris of their lands and properties.

Call for the strike has been given by All Parties Hurriyat Conference.

In a statement in Srinagar, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference spokesman said the Modi's land grab policy is meant to erase Kashmiris' identity and their Muslim character.

He urged Kashmiris to foster unity and not allow the BJP-RSS nexus to snatch away their motherland through despotic measures and convert the Muslim majority into a minority.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the policies of fascist Indian regime, led by Narendra Modi, are aimed to dis-empower Kashmiri people by evicting them from their lands and properties on one pretext or another.

Meanwhile, the leading British daily The Guardian has reported that India is trying to prevent Jawaharlal Nehru’s letters and other 1947 documents from being declassified.

As per The Guardian, the letters, known as the Bucher papers, are believed to include political and military arguments for why India’s first Prime Minister called for a ceasefire with Pakistan and provided special status to Jammu and Kashmir.

The Bucher papers refer to communications between Gen Sir Francis Robert Roy Bucher, who served as second commander-in-chief of the Indian army between 1948 and 1949, and government officials, including Nehru.
