City Government praises Ebad for release of hostages

Karachi: City District Government Karachi has on behalf of citizens of Karachi, highly praised Governor of Sindh Dr Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan for making possible the release of 22 people from the captivity of Somali pirates without any prejudice to colour, creed, religion or caste.

While chairing an important meeting in city government head office, the I.T Minister Mr. Raza Haroon said that Governor of Sindh had by implementing the thought and philosophy of Quaid-e-Tehreek Altaf Hussain, took immediate measures to save the precious lives of captives of M.V Suez for which the citizens of Karachi presenting tribute to the governor.

He also praised the efforts of human rights activist Ansar Burney and CPLC Chief Ahmed Chinoy who also played important role in the release of captives.

On behalf of citizens of Karachi he also thanked the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan and Pakistan Army especially Pakistan Navy which had provided lot of cooperation and support in the return of captives.

The minister also thanked all the people who provided financial cooperation for release of captives especially the business community and well off people.

Raza Haroon congratulated whole Pakistani nation and also thanked the media for providing help by creating awareness among the people about the incident.

He said Governor of Sindh had made an impossible work possible as saving the lives of 22 people was a great lesson for humanity.

The minister further said safe and secure return of 22 people from the captivity of Somali pirates had helped making good impression of Pakistan in the whole world.

By doing this important work, Governor of Sindh Dr. Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan had proved this before the world that majority of Pakistanis believed on humanity and human rights and they never compromised on saving the human lives.
