City Government Decides Restructuring of Campus School System
Karachi: n a meeting chaired by DCO Karachi Mohammad Hussain Syed it was decided to merge the different schools located inside the same campus into one school and to give the control of this school to only one officer.
This action would wrap up 85 percent schools which are presently running in afternoon or evening shifts. In the first phase this system would be implemented in Lyari Town within next 10 days. Other towns would then get this system on gradual basis.
The meeting was attended by Chairperson Education Committee Farhana Iqbal, EDO and District Officers of Education Department.
Earlier the meeting was informed about the existence of lot of school campuses in city which have different schools in afternoon and evening shifts with separate head of institution enjoying the administrative and financial powers.
It was further informed that the Government of Sindh had recently prepared a technical paper under which more than one schools in a campus would be merged into a single school and all the administrative and financial powers would be delegated to the principal of the school.
Addressing the meeting DCO Karachi stressed the need of providing better education to new generation so that they could serve the nation in a better way.
He said that the reorganization would bring improvement in the overall education system and all the children would get uniform facilities and standard.
He further said that no any employee of education department would be affected by the reorganization.
