Chairman Overseas Pakistanis Foundation Board of Governors appreciates e-Learning Initiative of Overseas Pakistanis Foundation for its educational institutions

Islamabad, October 26, 2016 (PPI-OT):The Chairman OPF Board of Governors, Barrister Amjad Malik has appreciated E-Learning Initiative of Overseas Pakistanis Foundation for its educational institutions. OPF becomes the first ever public sector organization which introduced E-Learning Initiative in its educational institutions. Barrister Amjad Malik formally inaugurated the E-Learning Initiative Project at OPF Girls College, F-8/2, Islamabad. Managing Director, OPF Habib Ur Rehman Gilani and senior officials of OPF were also present on this occasion.

Addressing on this occasion, the Chairman said that information technology has brought revolution in day to day life. He said the adoption of modern technology in our educational institutions will help to improve quality of education besides facilitating the students and teachers.

Barrister Malik said that it has been observed during his interaction with diaspora in UAE that thousands of children of expatriate workers are without education and schooling and the same complaints are received from Saudi Arabia. He said E-learning is way forward to ensure that our children go to schools as soon as possible. “We can continue teaching them unless they are accommodated with basic necessaries”, he added.

Barrister Malik lauded the College authorities for providing conducive atmosphere to female students and said to educate a woman is equal to educate a whole family. The College Principal, Shaena Massod thanked the Chairman for appreciation and said it would further boost energies of her team members. The Principal presented a cheque of Rs. 1 million donation money to the Chairman for Prime Minister’s welfare program. The Chairman met with students and inquired about facilities being provided in College Hostel.
