Chairman Board of Investment calls on Prime Minister

Islamabad, June 27, 2012 (PPI-OT): Chairman Board of Investment Saleem H. Mandviwala called on Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf and congratulated him on assuming the responsibilities of the chief executive of the country.

While briefing the Prime Minister about investment situation in the country, the Chairman said that Pakistan offered attractive prospects for foreign investors especially in the fields of energy, infrastructure, and information technology.

The Chairman underscored the importance of further simplifying procedures to encourage foreign investors to come to Pakistan and undertake successful businesses.

The Prime Minister directed the Chairman of BOI to submit a complete

feasibility report on one-window operation so that the potential investors were facilitated and might not have to go from pillar to post.

The Prime Minister said that inflow of foreign investment was critical for economic growth of the country as happened in case of Turkey, China and Malaysia.
