Ceremony to donate wheel chairs, walkers to special children held


Lahore: SKW Life for Limb Loss Charitable Foundation has donated three wheel chairs and three walkers to the Pakistan Society for the Rehabilitation of the Disabled. The ceremony was held in the Committee Room of PU Vice-Chancellor’s Office here on Thursday. VC Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran, Farhat Siddiqui, Javed Sami, Malik Zaheer Ahmad, SKW Life for Limb Loss Charitable Foundation General Secretary Shamim Ahmed Hashmi, Pakistan Society for the Rehabilitation of the Disabled Principal Mrs Tasnim Tahir and others were also present.

Addressing the ceremony, VC Dr Mujahid Kamran said we must thank to Almighty Allah for His countless blessings. He said it was out responsibility to take care of special children in their rehabilitation. He ensured fullest cooperation on the request of Tasnim Tahir for providing ramps for the organization.

Tasnim Tahir said Pakistan Society for the Rehabilitation of the Disabled had been performing the tasks of providing medical treatment and quality education to special children. She said due to better curricular and extra-curricular facilities children had been spending a better life and the children had won two medals in Malaysia.

Shamim Ahmed Hashmi said SKW Life for Limb Loss Charitable Foundation had been making all-out efforts for the rehabilitation of special persons and it would continue its efforts in future.
