Business community hails Wajid Durrani’s appointment


Karachi: The trade and industrial community has hailed the appointment of Wajid Durrani as Inspector General, Sindh and hoped that the new incumbent would strive hard to maintain law and order in the industrial and commercial hub of Pakistan – Karachi.

The Patron In-chief, Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI), S M Muneer, Chairman, Syed Johar Ali Qandhari, Former Chairman, Mian Zahid Husain and Vice Chairmen, Salim uz Zaman and Shahid Javed Qureshi said that Wajid Durrani is a seasoned officer and has good reputation in service and the government has made a right choice for Sindh.

They said that law and order situation in Karachi has extremely deteriorated and the business community in particular is suffering due to loss of business and threatening of life has forced a many of them to leave the country. They hoped that Wajid Durrani would not only restore law and order in Karachi but improve image of law enforcing agencies among the general masses.
