Business Community Calls for Retention of Sindh Governor to Foster Economic Growth

Karachi, During a luncheon at Federation House in honor of Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesori, the business community leaders urged Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif to retain Tesori in his role, citing his contributions to solving business and community issues. Atif Ikram Sheikh, President of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), and senior business leader SM Tanveer made the request on behalf of the entire business community, emphasizing the importance of Tesori’s continued presence in light of upcoming projects.

According to Sindh Governor House, the request for retaining Kamran Khan Tesori as Governor of Sindh was made by Atif Ikram Sheikh and SM Tanveer, who noted that Tesori’s 18-month tenure has seen significant initiatives addressing the needs of the business community and broader social issues. They emphasized that Tesori’s role is crucial, especially with the Sindh Infrastructure Fund Corporation (SIFC) projects on the horizon, which could greatly benefit from his leadership and experience.

The luncheon was attended by notable figures in the business community, including former Senior Vice President FPCCI Sheikh Khalid Tawab, who welcomed Governor Tesori at the Federation House. During his speech, Tesori highlighted the strong connection between his office and the business community, emphasizing the role of FPCCI in promoting economic development and trade activities across Pakistan.
