BJP-RSS Nexus Accused of Aiming to Convert India Into a Hindu State

Srinagar: The Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) in Jammu and Kashmir has accused the nexus between Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) of attempting to transform India into a formal Hindu state. This accusation comes in response to offensive comments made against Prophet Mohammed (SAW) by Yati Narsinghanand, whom the DFP described as a Hindu fanatic.

According to Kashmir Media Service, DFP spokesman Advocate Arshad Iqbal issued a statement in Srinagar, condemning the blasphemous remarks and urging Kashmiri Muslims to engage in peaceful protests to express their dismay. The DFP called for decisive action against Narsinghanand and others involved in the incident.

Iqbal characterized Narsinghanand’s remarks as a malicious effort to offend Muslim sentiments, labeling the speech as reflective of Islamophobia and the rising animosity towards Muslims in Indian society. “The BJP-RSS nexus seeks to convert India into a formal Hindu state through retaining power by stoking communal hatred,” he added.

The statement also highlighted an increase in communal violence and hate crimes against Muslims in India, noting a surge in such incidents since Narendra Modi, a BJP leader, assumed office in 2014. These actions have pushed Muslims in occupied Jammu and Kashmir and across India to the verge of genocide.
