Baramulla shuts against killing of TeH activist

Srinagar, June 10, 2015 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown is being observed in Baramulla district, today, in protest against the killing of a Tehreek-e-Hurriyet member, Mohammad Altaf Sheikh, at the hands of Indian armed agents in disguise in Sopore, yesterday. Soon after the killing, the veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, had called for a shutdown in the district for today.

All the shops, business establishments and educational institutions are closed while traffic is off the roads in the district, eyewitness said. Meanwhile, the President of High Court Bar Association of occupied Kashmir, Mian Abdul Qayoom, in a statement in Srinagar strongly condemned the killing of Mohammad Altaf Sheikh. He said that the deceased was a religious scholar and a true lover of freedom struggle.
