Arif Habib Investments Limited’s winding up of AH Dow Jones Safe Pakistan titans 15 index fund

Karachi, January 31, 2013 (PPI-OT): This is to inform you that the Board of Directors of the Arif Habib Investments Limited (AHI) has decided as follows:

1. “ AH Dow Jones Safe Pakistan Titans 15 Index Fund” (the scheme) managed by Arif Habib Investments Limited (the Management Company) is being would up with effect from 24th January, 2013 due to decline in the net assets below the statutory requirement of Rs. 100 million as set out by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) under Regulation 54(3a) of the Non-Banking Finance Companies and Notified Entities Regulations, 2008 (NBFC and NE Regulations) coupled with Management Company view that the continuity of the scheme is no more commercially viable.

2. The issuance and redemption of units is being suspended from 24th January, 2013 and the Scheme shall cease to carry on its activities except to the extent necessary for it to be wound up.

3. The investments of the unit holders whose names appears in the register of unit holders of the scheme the close of January 23, 2013 will be paid/ settled in proportion to their respective interest in the assets of the scheme in accordance with Regulations 45B of the NBFCs and NE Regulations.

The Trustee has already given its consent on Winding up of the Scheme.

We shall soon be communicating with you for initiating de-listing of the Scheme from the stock exchange.
